Tyga delivers a Smashing Performance in Mumbai at Sunburn Arena
Multi-talented American RIAA certified platinum rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and television personality Tyga finally made his way to the 13th season of Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festival, Sunburn Arena, which was hosted at MMRDA Grounds today for his much-anticipated Mumbai maiden performance. Before the 5,000 odd crowd even filed into the arena, chants of excitement burst at the seams from every attendee young and old. Joining him as support acts on stage was the notorious Gully Gang hip-hop squad comprising Shah Rule, Spin Doctor, DEVIL, MC Altaf, DJ Proof, Loka and Joel D’Souza.
West Indies musician and T20 cricket legend, Dwayne Bravo showcased his fervent flare as he emerged onto stage as a special act performing his all-time global hits such as ‘Champion’, ‘Asia’, ‘Run Da World’ and ‘Love You Baby’ and also previewed his brand-new wedding song ‘Chamiya’
Tyga brought nostalgia to the arena, driving the crowd wild with his most popular party hits from 2011 to 2019. His experience as a performer, with unparalleled stamina and energy, reiterated that he is a seasoned veteran on the stage. Tyga certainly rapped with energy. He also showed off his footwork, getting fancy at times — it added to the vibe of the night. Tyga wasted little time on speaking to the crowd in between songs, and instead kept the energy high by rapping songs back to back with consistent articulation. Speaking of fans, the self-proclaimed ‘Fan of a Fan’ frequently sang directly into phone cameras, delighting concertgoers. He brought his signature hedonistic party vibes, as pole dancers twerked on stage and on songs like ‘Ayy Macarena’, ‘Taste’, ‘Swish’, ‘About You’, ‘Ayo’, ‘Rack City’, ‘Faded’, ‘Far Away’ and ‘Still Got It’

Tyga currently has over 31 hits on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and has sold 638K albums, 12.2 million digital songs and 1.4 billion on-demand streams. His RIAA-certified accomplishments include 4x platinum “Rack City,” 2x platinum “Faded,” and five additional gold records. He recently flipped a 90s dance classic on “Ayy Macarena”, rapping over production that heavily samples the track. The song serves as the follow up to “Mamacita” alongside Carlos Santana and YG, and the rapper likely has even more new music on the way after signing a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records just last month.
